Supplier Code of Conduct and Responsible Supply Chain Policy

Our commitment

Basic safety Sweden AB and Navigation & Skeppsteknik is committed to conducting its operations responsibly and ethically. We ensure that all services delivered under our contracts are produced and provided in accordance with internationally recognised standards on human rights, labour conditions, environmental protection, and anti-corruption.

This policy applies to [Company Name], as well as to all suppliers and subcontractors involved in the delivery of our services, regardless of the number of contractual tiers in the supply chain.

 

Human rights and labour standards

We require that our own operations and those of our suppliers and subcontractors comply with the following international conventions and national laws:

* The UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948)

* The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, Article 32

* The ILO’s eight core conventions on:

    * Forced labour (No. 29 and 105)

    * Freedom of association and collective bargaining (No. 87 and 98)

    * Non-discrimination and equal remuneration (No. 100 and 111)

    * Child labour (No. 138 and 182)

* Applicable labour law, wage regulations, and social security legislation

* Applicable occupational health and safety legislation

All workers shall be treated with dignity and respect, and employment shall be freely chosen. Child labour, forced labour, discrimination, and unsafe working conditions are not tolerated.

 

Environmental responsibility and anti-corruption

We expect all parties in our supply chain to comply with:

* Applicable environmental protection legislation in the country where services are performed

* The principles of the UN Convention against Corruption

Bribery, corruption, conflicts of interest, and unethical business practices are strictly prohibited.

 

Supplier engagement and monitoring

Supplier selection and communication

Suppliers and subcontractors are informed of this policy at the start of the cooperation. Acceptance of and compliance with these requirements is a condition for collaboration.

Ongoing dialogue and control

We maintain ongoing dialogue with suppliers and subcontractors through:

* Contractual requirements and written communication

* Follow-up discussions and meetings when necessary

* Review of policies, declarations, or supporting documentation upon request

Monitoring is conducted in a risk-based and proportionate manner, taking into account the nature of the service and geographical context.

 

Monitoring schedule

* At the start of the contract:
Suppliers are informed of the requirements and confirm compliance.

* During the contract period:
Regular follow-ups are conducted at least annually or when changes occur in the supply chain.

* In case of identified risks or concerns:
Immediate follow-up and enhanced dialogue are initiated.

 

Non-compliance and corrective actions

If non-compliance is identified:

1. The issue is documented.

2. The supplier is required to provide an explanation and a corrective action plan within a defined timeframe.

3. Follow-up is conducted to ensure implementation.

4. In cases of serious or repeated breaches, cooperation may be suspended or terminated.

 

Responsibility and continuous improvement
